This is a demo product and therefore not a complete scavenger hunt. It’s free to order. This way, you’ll get a grasp of the entire process of how ordering and creating your own app scavanger hunt or mobile quiz works!

You’ll receive emails from us and access to your organizer’s site where you arrange the scavenger hunt. You can also download our app, GrapevineGO, and try the demo scavenger hunt on your smartphone, so you can see how it works for the participants. This demo version includes three questions from the app scavenger hunt “The Detective Hunt,” which is a scavenger hunt for children. However, the principle and technology are the same for mobile events and mobile quizzes for adults.

This is how it works! 

When you order, you will receive an email with a link to a small organizer’s website. On this you post teams and decide where the teams should go. You can choose to send all your teams along the same track, or create up to five different routes. You create the routes by placing map pins for the various questions on a map of the area where you want to do the scavenger hunt. You decide when, where and how far!

One smartphone with internet connection is needed per team. Each phone also need to have our free app GrapevineGO installed.

On the organizer’s website a QR code per team is generated and the scvenger hunt is started by scanning each team’s QR code with the app. Then it all gets going and the time start running.

Participants see one map pin at a time, only when they have answered a question correctly do they see the next pin. If you answer a question incorrectly, you get a time penalty of 30 seconds before you get to try to answer the question again. However, the questions have multiple choice answers, so sooner or later the team can continue.

Since only the next pin is visible, you can, if you want, run a scavenger hunt with a secret final destination without revealing where it all ends. 

When all teams have reached the final destination, a result is calculated on your organizer’s website. In this scavenger hunt teams can compete for time and the winner is the team that gets the most correct answers in the shortest time.

On your organizer’s website, there are two test teams that you can use to test the event yourself before running it “for real”.

You choose the size of the product when you order. If you want between 1-5 teams in your event, you choose this option, if you want more teams, you choose 6-10 teams.
